The mission of the National Farm to School Network (NFSN) is to increase access to local food, gardens, and nutrition and agriculture education to improve children's health, strengthen family farms, and cultivate vibrant communities. NFSN envisions a nation in which farm to school and farm to early care and education are an essential component of equitable, local and regional food systems, ensuring the health of all school children, farms, environment, economy and communities.

Growing for the Future with National Farm to School Network
National Farm to School Network (NFSN) is transforming lives through school food. We work to advance farm to school and early care in creating thriving communities now and in the future. All of our futures depend on the farmers who feed us, take care of our soil and waterways, and protect seeds for the next harvest—but their work often goes unseen and undervalued. With federal support receding and key state-level decisions on the horizon, this moment is pivotal as we work to preserve decades of progress in building healthy, resilient food systems through the farm to school movement. These setbacks not only undermine the nutrition and wellbeing of children but also weaken the ability of NFSN and our partners to support farmers, schools, and communities. Support from donors is more critical than ever as recent cuts threaten the infrastructure we’ve built. By making a gift to NFSN, you enable us to help local farmers, producers, and fishermen to sell directly to school meal programs across the country. All of NFSN’s programming is devoted to ensuring that young children and students eat healthy, fresh, and locally grown meals in schools, and that farmers earn a reliable source of income by feeding their community. Donate today to protect what we’ve built—and grow what comes next.
