As of early 2025, there are approximately 6.3 million refugees living in exile . Many of these refugees yearn to return to their homeland. However, the situation remains challenging as a significant number of homes and infrastructure have been destroyed during the conflict. For instance, one estimate suggests that around 328,000 homes have been completely destroyed , with many more severely damaged and uninhabitable. Human Concern USA is taking a crucial first step to rehabilitate and repair damaged houses . This effort aims to facilitate the return of our people to their homeland, ending their generation-long journey of displacement and misery.

The war in Gaza has devastated dental education, leaving 1,591 students without access to essential clinical training. Without urgent support, the future of dental care in Gaza is at risk. Human Concern USA in collaboration with PalMed Academy and the Refugee Crisis Foundation, is stepping in to rebuild dental education. We are providing clinical training by renting private dental clinics, constructing a phantom head simulation center, and supplying materials and stipends for clinical tutors.
