D.O.D. Radiología e Imágenes was founded to respond to a pressing need: the lack of affordable and accessible diagnostic imaging for underserved communities in Tegucigalpa and the department of Francisco Morazán, Honduras. Since its inception, the organization has combined professional expertise in radiology and medical imaging with a strong commitment to equity and transparency. We began by building local partnerships and investing in essential equipment such as X-ray machines and ultrasound units, while also developing clear protocols, pricing models, and community outreach efforts to ensure sustainability and trust.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to expand access to diagnostic healthcare by providing free and low-cost X-ray and ultrasound services to patients who would otherwise go without care. We believe that early diagnosis and timely treatment should not be a privilege, but a right for every individual, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Over the past year, we have launched community initiatives that include free monthly diagnostic days, the creation of standardized operating protocols for a wide range of imaging studies, and partnerships with local clinics, rehabilitation centers, and cooperatives to serve larger patient populations. We have also established a U.S. nonprofit arm and initiated fundraising campaigns to connect donors with tangible, transparent outcomes: each donation is directly tied to the number of studies we can provide.
