To achieve these results, Conservation Justice works at 6 distinct levels, corresponding to its 6 departments:
INVESTIGATIONS : Using a network of informants and investigators to identify any major wildlife traffickers and illegal loggers with the provision of compelling evidence for their arrest.
OPERATIONS : Facilitation of arrests by the forces of law and order and the Eaux et Forêts Service, with the support of Conservation Justice legal experts to ensure compliance with the law and the safety of our informants and investigators.
LEGAL : Legal support for legal proceedings and monitoring of the enforcement of court decisions.
INFORMATION : Information, sensitisation and support for rural forestry communities to promote a better comprehension of legislation and respect for their rights and duties towards forestry operators. Alongside initiatives for adults, an awareness-raising programme has been set up for the youngest in rural schools.
MEDIA : Media coverage of the results to raise public awareness of the enforcement of the law and the risks involved, for the purposes of information and discussion.
TRAINING :Courses for specific personnel from Eaux et Forêts, Customs, Justice and law enforcement agencies on environmental legislation and related criminal procedures.
