One out of every five kids with cancer lives in poverty. For families who don’t have much money, finding a way to pay for trips to the hospital can be very hard. Even the best cancer doctors can’t help a child if the child can’t get to them.
Compass to Care is a charity that helps kids get to their cancer treatments, no matter where they live in the country. We make sure that kids who need rides to the hospital can get them, right away, so they don’t miss the care they need.
If you can help pay for just one tank of gas or one Uber ride, you can make a big difference in a child’s life. Your help brings hope for a healthier tomorrow and a chance to beat cancer.
Fundraisers
Help children in poverty fight cancer.
Getting to the doctor is hard for many kids with cancer, especially those from families who don’t have a lot of money. Children often have to travel far to one of just 200 special hospitals in the U.S. that treat kids with cancer. These trips happen often, which can make it tough for families to keep up with bills, buy groceries, or even put gas in the car. Without a way to get to the hospital, some kids miss important treatments, which can make it harder for them to get better. We need your help! Your support will provide gas, Uber/Lyft rides, flights, and parking costs. With your help, no child fighting cancer will have to miss their treatment just because their family can’t afford to get them there.
