With beginning of a full scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine in 2022 the war has changed significantly. Because previously in the there were a lot of bullet trauma or another origin. And now the main reason of injury are explosions of bombs, when people losing their limbs. So, we are orthopaed-traumatologists, saw a problem and how those injured people can't get a proper prosthesis. Its happening because of different reasons: very short residual limb (high amputation), problems with skin due to regular prosthesis use like chronic wounds etc.

I decided to create a free program for them, because our government didn`t create such program for them. And I started a found-raising on the Internet, among businesses and organized a charitable auction. We performed 2 osseointegrations with australian proffesor Munjed Al Muderis. But osseointegrative prosthetics is very expensive, one implant cost 42 000$. So during my work I met a developer of such implants Holger Wolf from Germany, who offered me twice lower price. And after that I met a volunteer from America Jason Cain, who is very interested in this help and being our main donor. Also I had an observership in University hospital of Colorado in US to learn better about this type of prosthesis and now I cooperate with Jason Stoneback and we planning to perform 4 more operations in August.

Thousands of Ukrainian soldiers who defended Ukraine and European values lost limbs on the battlefield. They need modern osseointegration prosthetics that will allow them to walk, work, hug their children and experience life to the fullest.
