Complementing this work is its sister platform, Nor’s Mandala, which focuses on the visual anthropology of South Asia through the engagement of high-level cultural diplomacy. A significant milestone in the platform’s history was the prestigious invitation to attend the 70th Birthday celebrations of His Majesty the Fourth King of Bhutan on the occasion of the nation’s inaugural Global Peace Prayer Festival. For this event, the Nor’s Mandala team curated a high-profile delegation comprising international journalists, creatives, and filmmakers. This mission served to deepen the cultural understanding of the festival through a cultural standpoint, resulting in a comprehensive suite of outputs, including a podcast series, extensive media write-ups, and an art film.
