The African Visionary Fund exists to change that.

We drive flexible and unburdensome funding to African social changemakers to increase their impact & transform development across the continent. Since 2020, we have committed $4.3 million to 24 African-led organizations across 10 countries working in education, health, gender equity, human rights, livelihoods, climate justice, and other emerging sectors.

Our 'why' is straightforward: we believe that when it comes to improving lives proximity matters. Proximate leaders have a deep understanding of and connection to their communities that enables them to develop relevant, effective, and cost-effective solutions.
