The mission of the Eleventh Commandment Foundation is to connect people, cultures, and nations by promoting knowledge of Polish history – including the rich heritage and experiences of Polish Jews – both in Poland and abroad. We believe that understanding the past, in all its diversity, is the key to building an open, tolerant, and informed society.
We support education, science, culture, and upbringing, fostering civic engagement, creativity, and social responsibility. We preserve tradition, protect national and minority heritage, and create spaces for intercultural and interfaith dialogue. Through artistic, educational, and social initiatives, we promote respect for human rights, counteract discrimination, prejudice, and antisemitism, and actively fight against disinformation.
A special focus of our work is helping refugees from Ukraine living in Poland – from everyday assistance and social integration to helping them find their place in a new reality. At the same time, we are engaged in providing humanitarian, material, and psychological support to civilians and soldiers in Ukraine.
The Foundation works to integrate and activate refugees and immigrants. We fight against digital exclusion, support volunteering and community initiatives, and engage in humanitarian and development aid in Poland and around the world.
Our goal is a world in which history – including the history of Polish Jews – inspires, culture connects, and diversity becomes a source of mutual understanding and cooperation, even in the face of crises and conflicts.
