About Woods Services’ System of Care
Woods Services was founded in 1913 by Philadelphia schoolteacher Mollie Woods with two simple goals – to advance quality of life and standard of care for individuals with disabilities. Today, Woods is a population health management organization that, through its network of nonprofit providers in PA and NJ, provides life cycle care to meet the lifelong needs of more than 22,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities, mental health challenges, and acquired brain injuries who may also have complex medical and genetic conditions.
Wood System of Care includes:
• Allies, Inc. is the largest adult community home provider in NJ. Allies and its affiliate, Abilities of Northwest Jersey, are dedicated to providing meaningful employment, habilitation and recreational opportunities to people with disabilities in the communities of their choice.
• Archway Programs offers an array of programming for children and adults in southern New Jersey that include a before and after school program, special education schools, early intervention services, and youth, adolescent and adult partial care for those with developmental disabilities.
• Legacy Treatment Services is the largest NJ agency utilizing evidence-based practice in treatment and clinical care. Legacy provides a broad range of mental health services including crisis intervention and addiction counseling and meets the increasingly complex needs of vulnerable children, adults and families.
• Tabor Services has been meeting the needs of at-risk children, young adults and families through a Community Umbrella Agency (Tabor Community Partners) in the Philadelphia region, as well as providing therapeutic foster care, supportive independent living and mentoring services.
• Woods Community at Brian’s House is an adult community home provider located in Chester and Delaware Counties. Brian’s House provides life skills development and vocational services through its residential and day programs.
• Medical Center at Woods provides high quality, patient-centered integrated primary and specialty medical care, dentistry and behavioral healthcare to the individuals Woods serves.
• Woods Community Services is an adult specialty community home provider for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who also have significant medical and behavioral complexities.
• Woods Services is a nonprofit population health and human services and advocacy network providing innovative, comprehensive and integrated medical care and behavioral health, education, housing, workforce and care coordination services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD )and acquired brain injury who also have complex medical, genetic and behavioral health challenges.
• Woods Services of NJ is a nonprofit that provides population health and human services within the State of NJ primarily for the I/DD population including health care joint ventures with existing providers.
