Wings of Recovery Network, Inc (W.O.R.N.), was established in 2018 by Leonard Schwartz and Melissa DeJesus. W.O.R.N. focuses on helping adults struggling with Substance Use Disorder (SUD). They help by giving resources to different detox centers, treatment facilities, and sober living. They also help with scholarships and placement. Their main project is the Ticket to Recovery Program. This program allows people who are struggling with SUD get to a treatment facility they have been accepted to by providing them a plane ticket to get there. There are HIPPA documents that are signed and verification from the facilities that the person has been accepted and that someone from the facility will be picking them up from the airport. Over the past three and a half years they have been able to help over 55 people get to a treatment facility so they can get the help they need. One of the guys we got a scholarship for has pver a year clean and started his own record label. A female we helped get into treatment , got her son back, has her own place, and is working two jobs. These are just some of the success stories W.O.R.N. hears.
