The University of Tsukuba traces its origins to Japan’s first national teacher-training institution, established in 1872. Re-established in Tsukuba Science City in 1973, it has grown into one of Japan’s leading comprehensive research universities, known for interdisciplinary education, innovation, and international collaboration.
