The Midas Project is a watchdog nonprofit working to ensure that AI technology benefits everybody, not just the companies developing it.
We lead strategic initiatives to monitor tech companies, counter corporate propaganda, raise awareness about corner-cutting, and advocate for the responsible development of emerging technology.
Note: As an independent watchdog, the Midas Project does not accept direct corporate contributions from companies within the industries we monitor, nor from their leadership. We may also decline any gift that could reasonably compromise our actual or perceived editorial independence.

Make Sure AI Benefits Everyone
I have dedicated my career to increasing the odds that AI enables human flourishing and doesn't kill everyone . I've spent the majority of my (short) career figuring out how to convert money into more useful work to make AI go better with mixed success. I personally really admire the Midas project and Legal Advocates for Safe Science and Technology. They are both dedicated to creating more accountability from companies that believe they'll replace all human jobs, eradicate all disease, and potentially kill everyone. They're are also both run by friends of mine that I admire and trust. The stakes are high, the situation is confusing and scary, but I think Midas and LAAST can use our money to make the situation meaningfully better. - Caleb
