The Center For Student Missions

The Center for Student Missions (CSM) was founded in 1988 with a simple but powerful conviction: lasting change happens when people of faith experience and serve their cities through the lens of compassion and partnership.
What began as a single-city initiative has grown into a national network of ministry experiences that mobilize thousands of youth and adults each year to serve alongside local leaders and organizations meeting real community needs.

For more than three decades, CSM has worked to bridge the gap between short-term mission participants and the long-term ministries transforming urban neighborhoods from within. Through intentional orientation, contextual learning, hands-on service, and post-trip reflection, participants gain new perspectives on poverty, justice, and discipleship.
Each city program is locally led, ensuring that service opportunities are dignifying, sustainable, and aligned with the priorities of the community.
