T1D1

Drew, the creator of T1D1,  was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in September, 2020 and was 13 years old. After being diagnosed in the hospital, he was feeling completely overwhelmed and unsure how to calculate his insulin doses five times a day (too little insulin and you may cause long term organ damage, too much insulin and you may go into a seizure!). He was looking for an easy-to-use app that had the essentials needed to calculate, track and communicate with his doctors but he couldn't find anything that quite fit what I was looking for. The existing apps were either expensive, had annoying pop-up adds, connected to devices, or just too basic. So, Drew decided to create his own app. He felt it was important to offer a free app accessible to anyone who needed help in managing this disease.
