Founded in 1987, SWC is the only HIV/AIDS community in Western Pennsylvania. Our mission is helping people living with HIV/AIDS improve their wellness.
The hallmark of Shepherd Wellness Community (SWC) is our Wellness Dinners for people living with HIV/AIDS and their loved ones. Our dinners, which are coupled with either a wellness program or an HIV/AIDS Support Group, allow our members to connect and learn about other service organizations, medical providers, and social services. SWC also provides transportation assistance to our dinners/programs, outreach calls, and respite outings.

Help Provide Meals for People Living with HIV in SWPA
In June of this year, we will undertake a much-needed kitchen renovation to increase functionality and menu capacity for our healthy and delicious dinners and decrease reliance on plastics and styrofoam. This upgrade will enable us to improve our Wellness Dinners while providing health education programs, support groups, and respite outings. Will you help us raise the standard for our members living with HIV/AIDS? Demand for our meal programming has risen by 100 meals a month in 2025. This kitchen upgrade makes it possible to keep helping people living with HIV/AIDS improve their wellness in southwestern Pennsylvania.
