Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital

Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital (SRH), established in 1998, is Korea's pioneering rehabilitation hospital for children, adolescents, and adults with disabilities. SRH is an affiliated institution of Angels' Haven, a non-profit social welfare organization founded in 1959 with support from American missionaries to care for children orphaned by the Korean War.

Over 28 years, SRH has practiced a holistic, life-cycle model of care, treating 80,000-100,000 patients annually. We opened Korea's first Pediatric Day Hospital in 2002, pioneered the country's adolescent rehabilitation system in 2006, and established Korea's first in-hospital Family Support Center in 2019. To date, we have treated over 257,000 children and 127,000 adolescents.

Our impact extends internationally. In partnership with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Government of Zimbabwe, we have built pediatric rehabilitation capacity in Zimbabwe—treating 562 children and training 41 local specialists. Through our Cinderella Project, we recycle outgrown orthotic devices from Korean children for use by children in Zimbabwe.

SRH plans to build a new rehabilitation hospital that will serve as a Holistic Rehabilitation Hub connecting medicine, technology, and community, and will train rehabilitation specialists across Africa and Southeast Asia. Our mission is to strengthen the most vulnerable links in our society—those that are most easily broken.
