Warmth and Safety: Replacing Windows at LOTG Church

Amid the ongoing full-scale war in Ukraine, Light of the Gospel Church in Kamianka (Cherkasy region) has become a vital hub for both spiritual care and practical support. The church serves not only its local congregation but also hundreds of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and vulnerable families affected by the war. Throughout the week, the church building hosts: • Sunday worship services and small group gatherings • A fully functional bomb shelter used daily by local elementary school children • Regular humanitarian food and clothing distributions • Children’s camps, adult support groups, and • Psychological and spiritual counseling However, the building’s 30 original wooden windows (installed in 1996) are now dangerously outdated. They are inefficient, drafty, and structurally unsafe in the event of a nearby explosion. Replacing them with modern, energy-efficient PVC windows will significantly enhance both the thermal insulation and physical safety of the building—cutting winter heat loss by 20–30% and reducing utility and firewood expenses. Project Goal: To improve the energy efficiency and safety of the church facility by replacing 30 deteriorating wooden windows with modern, high-quality PVC windows. Short-Term Outcome: 🔹Installation of 30 new energy-efficient PVC windows in the church building. Long-Term Impact: ✅ A warmer, safer, and more cost-efficient facility for church gatherings, children’s programs, counseling, and humanitarian relief. ✅ Improved protection from potential injury in the event of a blast (no glass shattering). ✅ Ongoing spiritual and practical ministry to displaced families and the local community in a more secure environment. Timeline: All installation will be completed within 2 months of funding, and no later than October 2025.

Gospel Impact & Sustainable Ministry in Ukraine

The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has left millions of families internally displaced, searching for stability, dignity, and hope. This isn't just a political or humanitarian crisis—it’s a spiritual one, with many losing their homes, jobs, and sense of belonging. The Sustainable Grounds project is a partnership initiative under Our Legacy’s Kingdom Sustainability Program, designed to provide long-term housing, Economic Empowerment, and Gospel hope to displaced families. Our Legacy is a trusted mission with over 15 years of faithful work in Ukraine. The Opportunity: Restoring Dignity and Building a Future The Sustainable Grounds project restores dignity and stability to Ukrainian families displaced by war. It’s more than temporary aid—it’s a legacy investment that brings lasting change and creates a self-sustaining ministry. By building homes and creating jobs, families regain their dignity and become active members of their new community. The Bargain: Our Proven, Sustainable Model This project is a Gospel-rooted housing and restoration initiative focused on building relationships, making disciples, and meeting urgent human needs through the Light of the Gospel Church, our trusted ministry partner in Ukraine. Cost-Effective Housing: Every $20,000 raised provides a finished home for a displaced family, covering land, renovation, and furnishings.   ◦ Investment Breakdown (per home):      ▪ $7,000   – Property (existing structures in need of transformation)      ▪ $7,000   – Renovation (repairs, heating, insulation, plumbing)      ▪ $6,000   – Furnishing (beds, kitchen supplies, basic appliances) Economic Empowerment: Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) are hired for construction and renovation work, providing them with employment, training, and purpose. Ministry Sustainability: Families pay a modest monthly rent of $75–$100 , which is directly reinvested into the Light of the Gospel Church local ministry. This income supports Bible studies, property maintenance, supporting local disciple-makers, and funding other Gospel initiatives. Kingdom Growth: By providing a home, the Light of the Gospel Church builds deep relationships, shares the Gospel, welcomes families into Christian community, and begins the disciple-making process. The ultimate goal is to offer a home, a job, and, most importantly, the hope of a relationship with Jesus Christ. The Proof of Concept: Demonstrated Impact & Our Goal The Sustainable Grounds project isn’t just a concept—it’s a proven model with real impact: • 12 homes have already been purchased and renovated, currently generating $800 /month for the sustainable ministry. • Our goal is to raise $40,000 to fund two new homes. • These two homes will generate an additional $150–$200 /month, which adds up to $12,000 a year in ongoing impact. This one-time gift creates long-term return and eternal impact. The Partnership: How You Can Be Part of This Legacy If God is stirring your heart, please prayerfully consider a gift that creates Gospel-rooted, long-lasting transformation. Giving Options: • Full home sponsorship: $20,000 • Property Phase: $7,000 per home • Renovation Phase: $7,000 per home • Furnishing Phase: $6,000 per home • Any amount: one-time, monthly, or annual giving is deeply appreciated. All check donations should be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church of Mesquite with CGI in the memo and mailed to PO Box 851573 Mesquite, TX 75126.
