Opening Village Doors Foundation
Opening Village Doors Foundation is a US based nonprofit organization based in Grand Rapids Michigan with operations in Kenya.
OUR MISSION is to partner with individuals and villages in sub-Saharan Africa so that they may reach their full potential through sustainable solutions.
OUR VISION – we envision a time when the villages we touch are prosperous, healthy and self sustaining, and that suffering has been relieved because of the student scholarships, community projects, training, and technical expertise we have provided.
We fight poverty in Kenya through education and entrepreneurship. We currently support 45 students in high school with a goal of increasing to more than 100 kids in 2025.

The story of our students are like Naoms'. She excelled in her entrance exam to join high school but she had lost hope of joining high school as her parents could not afford to pay her tuition to attend the high school she was accepted to. Thanks for your support, when she applied for support from Opening Village Doors Foundation, she was accepted for tuition sponsorship four years. In her own words, " I am so thankful for your tremendous support during this time of my need. My father was equally happy and could not hide his joy. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for your kindness and support. This means alot to my family and may God bless you abundantly she said." She is doing well in her academics and maintained a scored of B+ throughout 2024 academic year. The average cost of supporting a student with tuition is $600 per year.
