Natives in VetMed (NIVM) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing Indigenous representation in veterinary medicine. With less than 0.2% of veterinarians identifying as Indigenous, our work is essential in amplifying Native voices, supporting Indigenous veterinary students and professionals, and fostering culturally relevant, community-centered care.
Through mentorship programs, advocacy initiatives, and networking opportunities, we empower Indigenous students and professionals to thrive in veterinary medicine. We also work to increase access to veterinary care in tribal communities, ensuring that animal health services align with Indigenous knowledge systems and values.
Your donation directly supports scholarships, mentorship opportunities, and outreach programs that strengthen Indigenous leadership in veterinary medicine. By investing in NIVM, you are helping to build a future where Indigenous communities have greater access to veterinary care, and where Native professionals play a vital role in shaping the field. Together, we are creating a more inclusive and culturally responsive veterinary profession.
