Together we can ensure that community-based organizations have sufficient resources to support children and youth in Africa to thrive.

Community-based organizations provide critical safety nets for children, particularly those with the greatest developmental and survival needs. They provide vital services such as education, health, psycho-social and special needs support, and livelihood programming for families.

They are led by people in the communities they serve who deeply understand the challenges communities face and are able to provide context-specific, sustainable, and impactful solutions.

Please join us in supporting children and driving more resources to African-led community development.

Girls to Lead Africa

Girls to Lead Africa (GTLA) is a leadership incubator for girls and young women focused on providing them with the skills necessary to become involved in leadership within their schools and communities. GTLA believes that Girls can become leaders and generally have better development outcomes in future income, health, motherhood and civic participation. This can only happen if girls discover what matters to them, connect with others to achieve their vision and, finally, take action. But in order to do this, Girls need access to leadership development opportunities, equitable quality formal education, safe spaces and welcoming communities that support and encourage their growth and development. We believe that ensuring girls have trusted adults in their lives, supportive communities, and the time and space to learn and play is critical to their success as individuals and as leaders. Our Vision A critical mass of girls and young women ready and capable to lead in fields traditionally occupied by boys and men. Our Mission Girls to Lead Africa develops, nurtures and prepares young women to assume leadership roles in their schools and communities.
