MARTELL LEGACY FOUNDATION
Where you start doesn't define where you finish.
The Martell Legacy Foundation is a Canadian registered charity built on a simple belief: no kid is broken, no kid is beyond help, and no kid should ever feel invisible.
We exist to change the trajectory of young people aged 12–25 who are quietly slipping through the cracks — kids facing homelessness, poverty, trauma, foster care transitions, or barriers to education and work. We fund the high-impact programs that actually change outcomes, often before anyone else is paying attention.
Our mission: Every young person deserves the chance to rise above their circumstances, reclaim their future, and live a life of purpose, resilience, and contribution.
What We Do
1. We fund the work that changes lives.
We identify and fund registered Canadian charities delivering direct, frontline services to at-risk youth — the hard, unglamorous work that actually moves the needle:
- Emergency and transitional housing
- Mentorship and tutoring
- Life skills and character-building workshops
- Mental health support and trauma-informed care
- Therapeutic outdoor education
- Educational assistance and scholarships
- Food security and basic necessities
Every grant is awarded through a formal written agreement defining how funds are used, what gets reported, and how partners stay accountable. We favor multi-year partnerships and stay close to the work — through documentation review, video calls, and site visits. Our partners report back on exactly where the money went and what it changed.
2. Kings Club — free mentorship for the kids who need it.
Kings Club is our free monthly mentorship program for youth ages 14–22 in Kelowna, BC — capped at 100 spots per event. It teaches what school won't: money, confidence, discipline, and mindset.
Each event includes a 30-minute learning session, a 45-minute Q&A with Dan Martell on business and life, and a supercar experience with peers. No cost. No selling. No catch. Just honest mentorship and guidance many of these kids don't get at home — the kind that helps them build confidence and make better decisions earlier in life.
3. We tell the stories that change minds.
We run 2–4 public awareness campaigns a year, plus ongoing content: school assemblies, films and interviews, social storytelling backed by real statistics and outcomes, and community partnerships. All of it offered free of charge, powered by volunteers who help with content, coordination, and logistics.
How We're Governed
The Foundation is led by trustees and supported by volunteer advisors who oversee granting, review applications, and guide our fundraising and awareness work.
Our Impact
We've built relationships with multiple registered Canadian charities and distributed grants supporting shelter, mentorship, education, and therapeutic programs — engaging thousands of Canadians along the way.
Where We're Headed
Over the next five years, we're committing to raise $5,000,000 for youth-focused causes — every dollar going toward early intervention, real support, and programs that step in before it's too late.
Our Commitment
We operate with fiscal responsibility, transparent stewardship, and rigorous evaluation of every partner — in full compliance with CRA requirements, and accountable to both our donors and the youth we serve.
This isn't a campaign. It's our life's work.
