Dear Friends, We're reaching out to share the story of a brave cat named Gato, who, like many others, needs your help to live a happy and healthy life. Meet Gato Gato, a 12-year-old feline, came to us in a dire state, hungry and severely ill due to a painful disease known as feline stomatitis. This condition causes severe inflammation throughout the mouth, making life extremely uncomfortable for our furry friends. Gato's Journey Our dedicated shelter veterinarian, Dr. Holly, worked tirelessly, extracting all of Gato's teeth except for her canines and treating her with antibiotics. Gato now requires steroid injections every other month to maintain her health. She spends her days in our Operations Manager's office and her nights in a custom-built kitty house, lovingly constructed by staff.
