Help our children have a #NourishingFuture and sponsor their meals today! The Feed Our Children campaign aims to feed 120 children in our home according to our nutritionist approved menu. The campaign is a direct response to the consequences of severe malnourishment often observed of newly rescued children. In our efforts to combat this, we provide them nutritious meals and track their respective heights and weights to ensure they are able to achieve a healthy development appropriate to their age. No child deserves to be hurt. No child deserves to be hungry. This is our commitment to #ZeroHunger as we are part of local and international initiatives to end malnutrition and ensure that our children can have access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food all year round. Marly came to Kalipay when she was just two. She and her siblings had been left in heartbreaking neglect, fending for themselves with no one to care for them. But even then, beneath the fragility of a child who had been through far too much, there was a spark, a quiet strength waiting to shine. And shine she did. Marly grew up surrounded by the love and security of her KALIPAY family. Through the years, we watched her blossom into a gentle, intelligent, and lively young girl. Though shy at first, Marly became known for her cheerful personality, graceful dancing, and deep love for her siblings. She took her studies seriously, eventually becoming one of the top students in her class She loved to dance, to laugh, to learnand she dreamed of becoming a teacher or a dancer, someone who could help other children like herself. But now, Marly is in the fight of her life. Just days ago, Marly was rushed to the hospital. She has been diagnosed with encephalomeningitis, a rare and severe illness that causes inflammation in the brain and spinal cord. She is also battling pneumonia. The condition has left her in a deep coma. Doctors have begun an aggressive "shock treatment" of very potent antibiotics in a race against time to save her. In these incredibly difficult days, Marly has never been alone. Her Kalipay family have been by her side day and night. They remind her that she is loved, and that we are all waiting for her to come back to us. And now, we are reaching out to you. Marly’s medical expenses have now exceeded ₱320,000 and continue to climb by the day. As a non-profit that relies on the kindness and generosity of people like you, we are doing everything we can but we cannot do it alone.
