As the winter months approach, it's important to remember those who are experiencing homelessness. The cold weather can be dangerous for those without a warm place to stay. A small donation can make a big difference in helping them stay warm and safe.
The yellow leaf announces the coming of fall and winter.
As the weather gets colder, it becomes a real fear for many homeless individuals and families. Resisting the harsh weather, without a home and nowhere to go, is a nightmare. Winter means to us the holiday season; families gather together to celebrate what they are thankful for. It is the time for hot chocolate and cozy blankets, perfect to stay inside…for those who have a home. But for the homeless, fall and winter cause anxiety, many will scramble to find decent gently used coats and newspapers to stay warm, some may receive the help of the community and their families to battle the weather, but some of our most vulnerable, single homeless adults may not have a support system, even some families with children find themselves exposed to the elements and staying outside. Those who sleep outdoors in the cold, face the risk of dehydration, frostbite, and/or hypothermia.
During the winter months, many homeless individuals and families find themselves struggling to stay warm and safe. The holiday season can be a particularly difficult time, as families gather together to celebrate what they are thankful for. Without a home and nowhere to go, many homeless people are left out in the cold, at risk of dehydration, frostbite, and hypothermia.’
As temperatures drop and days grow shorter, the risks associated with homelessness become much more apparent. Not only do homeless individuals and families have to contend with daily battles for basic necessities like food and water, but they must also face the elements of Mother Nature without any place to call home. This blog post will explore the realities that homeless people in our communities must face during fall and winter and will discuss ways in which you can help them resist the harsh weather. From providing essential items like warm clothing and nutritious meals to creating safe shelters, there are many ways we can come together as a community to make sure that no person is left out in the cold this winter season.

At this time of year, we ask for your help in supporting our efforts to provide safe shelter, warm meals, and heavy cloths to those in need. Your generous donation will make a real difference in the lives of our most vulnerable neighbors. Thank you!
