Every home we build for a coffee worker family is a doorway to health, opportunity, and hope for generations.

At Generous Ventures Projects (GVP), we believe that behind every cup of coffee is a family deserving of dignity and security. Too many coffee worker families live in fragile, unsafe shelters that threaten their health and limit their future. We are changing that reality—one home at a time.

The typical home we build includes two bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom, living area, septic system, and safe utility connections. Families move from leaky shacks into strong, concrete block homes where children can thrive in school, health improves, and dignity is restored.

We achieve this by partnering directly with local coffee farm owners, volunteers, and the global coffee community—roasters, shops, churches, and everyday coffee drinkers. Donors can give, go, and fall in love: contribute financially, join a build trip, and connect personally with the families they support.

Your generosity builds more than walls and a roof. It builds dignity, security, and hope for generations to come. With every gift, you become part of the story—restoring homes, strengthening families, and honoring the hands that harvest the beans we enjoy each day.

Providing Housing Solutions for Coffee Communities

Building Homes. Brewing Hope. Our journey started with a passion for building—homes, futures, and brighter tomorrows. From constructing a daycare and orphanage in Mexico to restoring broken-down houses into dream homes, Henry and I have always loved turning vision into reality. From Mexico to Honduras, we’ve seen families working hard—yet still living without stability. A home is more than walls and a roof. It’s dignity. It’s safety. It’s the chance for children to dream and parents to hope for tomorrow. We’ve met the families. We’ve seen the need. And we believe together we can change lives—one home at a time. That’s why we said “yes” to helping build homes for indigenous coffee workers in Honduras. Families who harvest what fuels our mornings shouldn’t have to wonder if they’ll stay dry at night. Join us in building more than walls. Let’s build hope.

Build the Foundation: GVP Startup Fund

Across coffee-growing communities, families who work tirelessly in the fields often return to shelters of plastic sheets, rusted tin, or scraps of wood. These fragile structures leak in the rain, collapse in storms, and leave children vulnerable to sickness, insects, and fear. For many, “home” is unsafe and uncertain every single day. At Generous Ventures Projects (GVP) , we cannot ignore this reality. Our efforts are driven by love and compassion for others—love that is inspired by God’s love for us. Founded by Tom Hackett and Henry & Cheryl Ong , and supported by a circle of trusted advisors, we are mobilizing the global coffee community—from farm to cup—to take responsibility, share resources, and bring hope. With local coffee farm owners leading the construction, together we are restoring dignity and transforming futures… one family, one home at a time. This startup campaign will fund our $10,000 launch costs , laying the foundation to begin building safe, dignified homes. Each home replaces a crumbling shack with strong concrete walls, a roof that keeps out the storms, and space where families can live in health, safety, and hope. Your gift today helps us turn love into action—transforming fragile shelters into secure homes for coffee worker families and reflecting God’s heart for the poor.
