WHAT IS THE GRAND PARIS EXPRESS?
The Grand Paris Express is the largest urban and artistic project in Europe creating a new metro network in and around Paris. But it is much more than just a transport project. It's a cultural transformation that redefines the capital by combining mobility and art. With 68 new stations and 200 kilometers of tracks, it will redesign the urban experience, putting culture at the heart of everyday life.
ART AT THE HEART OF THE URBAN JOURNEY
Each of the 68 stations will have its own work of art. The new metro will be the largest collection of contemporary art in the public space, where you can take your time to stroll, admire and be amazed. It has received the 2023 Veronica Rudge Green Prize in Urban Design of Harvard University.
XAVIER VEILHAN: A MONUMENTAL ARTWORK AT VAL DE FONTENAY STATION
Among the standout artworks, artist Xavier Veilhan will create a striking sculpture at Val de Fontenay station. Accessible to all, this artwork will become a symbol of the bold transformation of the Grand Paris Express.
By supporting this artwork, you contribute to a great innovative project that will leave a lasting mark on Paris.
