Good Market

Good Market serves as a digital commons for enterprises and networks that prioritize people and the planet over profit maximization.

The goal is to catalyze the transition to a new economy by making the movement more visible and by making it easier for people to get involved and connect with others.

The core of the platform is a free curation process and crowdsourced monitoring system that works across economic sectors, income levels, registration types, certifications, language barriers, and regional divides. The curation process and software infrastructure are shared resouces and are governed by the community that uses them.

Good Market followed a lean startup approach. It began in 2012 in Sri Lanka with no grant funding or external working capital. The global platform is under a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization to lock in the mission. Any surplus is reinvested to expand services for the community.
