Friends of The Fiscalini Ranch Preserve

Friends of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve protects the beauty of the Ranch and sustains its diversity for everyone to enjoy. Our organization is a volunteer-driven effort that cares for a place at the heart of Cambria. Each year more than 100,000 residents and visitors find solace and beauty within its 430 acres of coastal bluffs, marine terraces, forested ridge, and flowering meadows. Deer, long-tailed weasel, burrowing owls, and the occasional mountain lion rely on its habitat.

In 2025 we celebrated the 25th anniversary of the purchase of the Ranch as public open space. Friends of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve works to:

PURSUE CONSERVATION & RESTORATION

• Restore the Monterey pine forest and other habitats to their pre-ranch conditions.
• Ensure that the conservation easement is enforced by monitoring the property.

PROVIDE EDUCATION & OUTREACH

• Teach visitors about the animals, plants, and history of the Ranch on free docent-led walks.
• Inspire students’ curiosity on free field trips.

PRESERVE RECREATIONAL ACCESS

• Maintain safe and easy access to historic trails and picturesque benches.
• Improve access through a new accessible loop trail.
• Welcome all visitors with new trail head signs.
