The Assa Traoré Endowment Fund is a French organization dedicated to the promotion of an inclusive and equitable society and to the fight against racism and discrimination. Since the death of her brother Adama at the hands of French law enforcement in July 2016, Assa Traoré has been leading a relentless fight for truth and justice. She has made the name of her brother Adama into a symbol of a universal cause: equal rights, for all, without distinction. The Assa Traoré Endowment Fund aims to fight against racism, promote an inclusive and equitable society, and support the fight against inequalities and all forms of discrimination (social, racial, environmental, etc.). Specifically, the organization aims to build a common narrative where all can fully participate in the construction of the future and to strengthen the power of action of each person to move towards an equitable, inclusive and breathable society for all. Equality & Justice Fund organizations working to a) support and defend victims of racism, discrimination, and police violence; b) enhance quality of life for people living in working class neighborhoods Education Fund organizations working towards the educational, intellectual and cultural liberation of youth from working class communities, using innovative strategies Leadership (run by Assa Traoré non-profit) Identify and train emerging movement leaders against racism and for equality. Support the leadership of women and men. Training format will include 2-day in-person sessions; 2h masterclasses and targeted coaching + digital platform for ongoing support. Movement Building (run by Assa Traoré non-profit) Grow the awareness of, and mobilize people to prevent and punish police violence, racist actions and all forms of discrimination. Promote success stories, and work to end negative stereotypes for people from working class neighborhoods.
