Flagstaff Dark Skies Coalition

Flagstaff Arizona stands alone as a city of notable size that has preserved its nighttime environment; the ephemeral beauty and awe inspiring majesty of our Milky Way galaxy can be witnessed from within the city. FDSC exists not only to help Flagstaff remain such an unprecedented success, but to share the proven techniques for the reclamation of the night sky from the ever increasing scourge of light pollution with towns and cities everywhere

Our vision is simple: We envision a world in which everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status, can see the Milky Way in a dark sky that is cherished by their community and beneficial for all life.

FDSC welcomes you to join our fight to restore the night. Your financial support will be put directly to work in both keeping Flagstaff moving ahead in its leadership role in curbing light pollution, and also building robust programs for reaching out to help people in other locales to understand and adopt the techniques that Flagstaff has proven to effectively reduce light pollution while maintaining a safe, vibrant, and inviting community.
