DEAN Foundation has a 26-year history of being the premier provider of Hospice and Palliative Care services in the community, free of charge to the economically weaker sections of society. They treat those with serious, life-threatening, chronic, progressive and incurable diseases with an emphasis on the elderly, the poor and the marginalized. Through their Outpatient and Home Care services they offer medical care, emotional and spiritual support, tailored to the patients' wishes to remain at home.

Since inception in 1998, our teams of doctors and nurses have reached out to 19,022 patients (Adults, Children & the Elderly) as on 31 July 2024 through 81,244 Outpatient Services and 72,577 Home Care visits; 14,965 have been Cancer patients. In our Paediatric Palliative Care Project, we have treated 3,737 children between the ages 0 to 12 years of whom 2,398 have been afflicted by Cancer. Currently, approx. 1002 patients are under our care. About 85% of our patients are from very low socioeconomic backgrounds; unable to cope with the negative impacts of adverse health events, and approx. 50% are geriatric patients.
