DEAN Foundation has a 26-year history of being the premier provider of Hospice and Palliative Care services in the community, free of charge to the economically weaker sections of society. They treat those with serious, life-threatening, chronic, progressive and incurable diseases with an emphasis on the elderly, the poor and the marginalized. Through their Outpatient and Home Care services they offer medical care, emotional and spiritual support, tailored to the patients' wishes to remain at home.

Since inception in 1998, our teams of doctors and nurses have reached out to 18,705 patients (Adults, Children & the Elderly) as on 31 March 2024 through 80,213 Outpatient Services and 70,674 Home Care visits; 14,699 (i.e., 78%) have been Cancer patients. In our Paediatric Palliative Care Project, we have treated 3,677 children between the ages 0 to 12 years of whom 2,341 have been afflicted by Cancer. Currently, approx. 965 patients are under our care. About 85% of our patients are from very low socioeconomic backgrounds; unable to cope with the negative impacts of adverse health events, and 50% are geriatric patients.
