C.F.C. is a non-profit that offers - Affordable film workshops - Community networking events - Annual Script to Screen Grant Program, providing the winner with a grant and production support to make their short film cinematic reality. The Couch Film Collective is an active group of aspiring and established female, non-binary and allied filmmakers that meet regularly to collaborate and produce short film projects each year. It is our aim to provide opportunities for women to expand their portfolios in such a way that they are better positioned to pursue their professional dreams in film. While the CFC is a project-based collective, it is also a space where members can network, ask questions, obtain resources, and bolster their community. Our hope is that seasoned filmmakers and budding artists can join forces to create real projects. Together we have enough time, money, and resources at our disposal that we can change the breadth and reach of our professional capabilities. It’s time to bring the glass ceiling shattering down. C.F.C. is inclusive and intersectional. Our aim is to redefine the current film narrative so that we can tell our own dynamic and diverse stories. We welcome people of all colors, religions, and the entire LGBTQ+ spectrum.
