CHAT - Chico Housing Action Team
CHAT's mission is to provide affordable rental housing and social services for people who are without housing.
The vision of Chico Housing Action Team is a community where everyone has access to safe, suitable housing they can afford.
We recognize the inherent worth and dignity of every person, and each person’s right to make decisions about their own lives.
We care about those who are suffering in homelessness, especially those who are disabled or ill, children, and the elderly, and we work to alleviate that suffering by providing safe and suitable housing.
We work cooperatively with our community, our fellow service and housing providers, our local governmental agencies, the people we serve, and especially with and among our own CHAT team.
We are nimble, flexible and solution focused as we seek out opportunities and innovations solutions to homelessness.
We are committed to the principle that housing is a human right.
