A private family foundation
The Demetra and Eric Vassilatos Foundation invests in communities and individuals in the places we call home. To this end, we support infrastructure in provincial Greece, early childhood education, cancer research and treatment in Chicago, and college scholarships to Greek Americans. Working in partnership with our grantees, we hope to advance cancer care, ensure children and adolescents a solid and broad foundation for lifelong learning and well-being, and strengthen rural communities in Greece.
