Women Of Purpose

Women of Purpose, founded by Sarah Reed in 2001, has spent more than two decades partnering with communities in the United States and Liberia, West Africa through education, community development, and long-term investment in women.

Building upon this foundation, Women of Purpose is expanding its mission through a new area of work guided by a simple question: What role can art play in strengthening the communities we serve?

To lead this next chapter, Women of Purpose has appointed Zina Reed as Director of Curatorial Initiatives. The appointment marks the organization's first investment in an initiative that brings together contemporary art, research, and education as complementary tools for community development.

To support this initiative, Women of Purpose is establishing the Institutional Capacity Fund and inviting founding supporters to participate in its development. The Fund invests in the leadership, research, and institutional growth needed to build this initiative over time. Its inaugural investment will support graduate study in the Curating Contemporary Art programme at the Royal College of Art alongside ongoing field research in Liberia, laying the foundation for the organization's next chapter.
