West Virginia Women Work (WVWW) is a nonprofit organization that helps women gain the skills, confidence, and support they need to succeed in high-demand careers. Our job skills training programs are designed to meet the needs of both workers and employers, helping address the skilled labor shortage while connecting businesses with a well-prepared workforce.

Through our Step Up for Women Construction Pre-Apprenticeship, we provide hands-on training and industry-recognized certifications that prepare women for careers in the skilled trades. For those needing flexible options, our SkillUp online training program helps women strengthen essential soft skills like communication, time management, and professionalism.

We also offer PartnerUp, a six-month mentoring program that supports unemployed and underemployed women as they explore educational and career pathways with the help of a personal mentor. This program helps women identify barriers, set goals, and build a plan for long-term success.

WVWW also provides technical assistance and workforce development services for apprenticeship programs, employers, and training providers. Our services include recruitment strategies, customized workplace training, best practices guidance, and tailored workforce solutions.

For 25 years, WVWW has been empowering women, supporting families, and strengthening communities throughout West Virginia.
