Two Generations, Inc. began as an informal group of several U.S. citizens who came to the United States from Colombia many years ago. For some time before the official formation of the organization on August 14, 2008, one of the current members began sending used wheelchairs, walkers, portable bathrooms, and canes to the elderly and handicapped in his homeland. Soon after we were approached by a local catholic priest to see if we were interested in getting involved in another project in a very poor Colombian area where his congregation was doing mission work. We were immediately moved by the great need of the children of a small village in Guamal, Colombia, and its surroundings and decided to help.

Help Build a Playground for children in Guamal, Colombia!
After we all returned to the place it started, Guamal, Magdalena, Colombia, we were able to re-assess the needs of the community. Our first stop was visiting the Community Center we built back in 2010. This center was built with the idea of providing a guaranteed meal to the people of Guamal, and those of the surrounding towns. Today it feeds more than 50 mouths a day, all for less than 50 cents a person. The people of these communities are leveraging the resources and tools we have provided and are taking steps to be more self-sustainable. Their commitment is unwavering and admiring. Now, we are seeking to surprise the children of Guamal with a Playground for Christmas! Help us achieve this goal.
Check out our latest Instagram post to see the warm welcome we received from the children who visit the dining hall every day from a nearby school! 💛
