LesbianGlobal was created to address a profound gap in visibility, resources, and opportunities for LBQ+ women—especially in the Global South. These women face a triple burden of patriarchy, misogyny and homophobia, often compounded by poverty, economic exclusion, and systemic violence. Yet they remain some of the least supported leaders in global philanthropy.
At LesbianGlobal, we believe that when LBQ+ women are resourced and empowered, they don’t just transform their own lives—they strengthen entire communities and create lasting change. Through economic empowerment, social entrepreneurship, and direct funding support, we unlock the potential of LBQ+ women as catalysts for equity, justice, and progress.
Why LesbianGlobal Exists:
- Chronic Underfunding: LBQ+ activists in the Global South—on the frontlines of human rights, safety, and community building—receive little direct funding. Their work is often stalled or silenced by lack of resources.
- Resource Inequities: Funding for women or LGBTQI+ issues often bypasses LBQ+ women. This systemic neglect leaves them invisible, without the recognition and support they need.
- Donor Blind Spots: Many funders remain unaware of the specific struggles LBQ+ women face—such as discrimination, economic exclusion, and violent repression—particularly in under-resourced regions.
- High-Impact Giving: In the Global South, every donation stretches further. A relatively modest contribution can launch a business, fund a safe space, or provide lifelines of support where none exist.
- Barriers to Grants: Complex, bureaucratic funding systems—shaped by colonial legacies—exclude LBQ+ activists who cannot safely or feasibly apply. LesbianGlobal eliminates these barriers by channeling resources directly and securely. ****
What We Do
LesbianGlobal exists to bridge these gaps and power transformation. We:
- Invest in Economic Empowerment: We support LBQ+ women’s social enterprises, cooperatives, and income-generating initiatives that increase independence, build resilience, and shift local power dynamics. When LBQ+ women thrive economically, they uplift entire communities.
- Channel Resources Directly: 100% of donations go to LBQ+ women’s programs and leaders, particularly in the Global South. Our co-founders personally cover all administrative costs, ensuring every dollar fuels change.
- Amplify Voices and Data: Using our LesbianGlobal Data Connect platform, activists safely gather and share community data, testimonies, and priorities. Donors see impact in real time, unfiltered by intermediaries.
- Build Visibility and Solidarity: We elevate LBQ+ women’s lived experiences and leadership on global stages, while also collaborating with major funders to include LBQ+ women in broader strategies for gender and LGBTQI+ justice.
- Advance Human Rights Through Economics: We know that economic empowerment is inseparable from human rights. With resources and recognition, LBQ+ women can better resist violence, claim their dignity, and lead their communities toward economic justice.
Our Mission
LesbianGlobal empowers LBQ+ women in the Global South through funding, economic opportunities, and leadership support. We amplify their voices, help to dismantle systemic barriers, foster social entrepreneurship and economic empowerment to create a world where LBQ+ women lead, thrive, and transform the economic and social realities of their communities.

Why Your Support Matters
Your contribution is not charity—it is an investment in economic justice, equality, and sustainable change. With your support, an LBQ+ woman entrepreneur can build a livelihood, an activist can organize her community, and a leader can access the tools to create systemic transformation.
When LBQ+ women have the resources they deserve, they build safer, stronger, and more inclusive societies. Together, we can make this future possible.
