Who We Are

At Tennessee Cow Rescue, we believe compassion is not a luxury, it is a responsibility. Our sanctuary in the rolling hills of McMinnville, Tennessee, is a refuge for cows and other farmed animals who have suffered illness, injury, or neglect. We provide lifelong care in an environment where animals are not commodities, but family.

Founded in 2021, we have given dozens of animals a second chance at life. Each cow that finds a home here represents a story rewritten — from abandonment to belonging, from despair to dignity.

Why This Work Matters

Industrial farming is one of the most significant ethical and ecological crises of our time. Billions of animals are raised in conditions that deny their most basic needs, while the industry fuels deforestation, water depletion, and climate change. For every animal who arrives at our gates, there are millions more who cannot.

But change begins with stories. When donors visit our farm, they meet Elizabeth — the heifer who started it all. They meet Sanjay, a disabled micro mini handicapped steer who thrives because of the brace and care he receives here. They meet families who come to visit, children who learn empathy through firsthand connection, and farmers who see new models for cooperation and sustainability.
