Tard Foundation

We are registered in Uganda as a company limited by guarantee. We were incorporated in 2022 and have been operating for 2.5 years. We work with mostly African climate champions who advocate for communities being destroyed by climate change. We seek to build a strong pan-African movement that advances African climate solutions on the international stage through strategic actions and campaigns.

For the past 2 years, we have provided several African climate advocates opportunities to attend international conferences such as COP 27,COP 28, COP 29 and African Climate Summit to share the demands and solutions needed by the front-line communities affected by climate change. In addition, we have locally mobilised and organised capacity building workshops that are designed to create a learning and networking space between activists and policy makers. We hosted three events in 2023 which included Local Conference of Youth , Just Transition Summit and side event in Kenya at the African Climate Summit.

For the next two years,2025 and 2026 , we are focusing on pushing African finance needs for a Just and Fair Energy Transition through Capacity building and leadership, Advocacy and movement building , Grassroots community projects and climate policy engagement.
