Established in 2020, SLB emerged with a clear mission to eradicate campus hunger and foster academic success.

To address this pressing need, we have devised an innovative approach that focuses on repurposing food waste to benefit those in need. In our close collaboration with local agencies, businesses, and community members, we actively purchase and rescue safe and nutritious food that would otherwise end up in landfills. Our partnerships with major colleges and universities in Los Angeles County allow us to serve over 6000 students every month, providing college students with vital sustenance, including fresh fruits and vegetables, a wide range of grocery items, whole grains, protein sources, and many other food items tailored to their immediate nutritional needs.

At Student LunchBox, our vision is to create a future where every college student has access to nutritious food, empowering them to thrive academically, achieve their full potential, and succeed in their educational journey. We envision a campus community where no student has to worry about hunger or the impact of food insecurity on their well-being. By fostering partnerships, promoting awareness, and implementing sustainable solutions, we strive to eliminate the barriers that hinder students from accessing balanced meals.
