The Maryland Matters newsletter is invaluable, covering local and state politics and issues with great depth and insight.  The editorial pages host a variety of viewpoints and cover issues not often seen in the Post or Examiner.  The Baltimore Sun does focus more locally, but with more of a slant.  Having local papers with different viewpoints is critical to our democracy.

States Newsroom is a nonprofit organization focused on arts, culture, or humanities. It is based in Chapel Hill, NC. It received its nonprofit status in 2019.
