This is the reality for young people from Kibera. They have done everything right. They studied despite overcrowded classrooms, financial hardship, and the daily challenges of growing up in one of Kenya's largest informal settlements. Now they have earned admission to college, but without financial support, their dreams could end before they even begin. Your generosity can change that. With your support, 3 young women and 2 young men will have the chance to attend accredited colleges in Kenya. A college education will give them the skills and confidence to build meaningful careers, support their families, and become leaders who inspire other young people in their community. In Kibera, many families live on less than $2 a day and only about half of school-age children complete secondary school. Joining college is an extraordinary achievement. For these five students, it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity but only if they can afford to stay enrolled. Our Nursery School in Kibera provides a safe, nurturing environment where young children can grow, learn, and thrive despite the challenges of poverty. Many of the children we serve come from households facing food insecurity and limited access to early education. At our nursery, they receive quality early childhood education alongside daily nutritious meals, ensuring they are healthy, engaged, and ready to learn. This strong foundation is critical in shaping their cognitive, emotional, and social development during their most formative years. Beyond education, the nursery offers holistic care that supports each child’s overall well-being. We create a space where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore their potential.
