Sleep for Change is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to get more people a safe, healthy place to sleep and to push the mattress industry toward materials and practices that are better for the planet. We were founded by Avocado Green Mattress and built to serve the whole industry as it grows.
Sleep for Change exists to keep good mattresses out of landfills and into the hands of people who need them. We route eligible returned and new surplus mattresses — prioritizing natural and organic materials where available — through a network of vetted nonprofit partners, and we help consumers make better-informed choices through honest, independent education.
