Family Agriculture Resource Management Services (FARMS) works with and protects farmers, while reducing hunger in rural areas.

Land loss is an epidemic that has plagued Black farmers and landowners. Every year, 30,000 acres of Black landownership is lost primarily due to non-payment of property tax, eminent domain, unprofitable business models, discrimination, generational out-migration, and lack of estate planning.
Many ask,“what is the point of retaining land ownership?” The ultimate purpose of retaining the land is to pass it down to the next generation as a family legacy. However, if the youth are disinterested in agriculture, the purpose of family preservation is loss. F.A.R.M.S. is committed to creating and supporting programs that educate youth about agriculture in innovative ways. By working with landowners to retain land through various estate planning and land protection means, the availability of land will not be lost to the next generation.

Samaritan Kitchen of Wilkes, is home to the Client Choice Pantry and Project Backpack. 

The Samaritan Kitchen Backpack Program provides volunteer woman- and manpower to fill over 600 weekend food backpacks for hungry school children in Wilkes County NC every week.
The Samaritan Kitchen Food Pantry provides over 600 families in Wilkes County NC a monthly shopping cart filled with food for families who would otherwise go hungry.

BRC permanently protects natural resources with agricultural, cultural, recreational, ecological and scenic value in northwest NC.

Since its founding in 1997, Blue Ridge Conservancy (BRC) has permanently protected over 22,000 acres in Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Mitchell, Watauga, Wilkes and Yancey Counties in North Carolina. In addition to protecting working farmland, BRC's efforts have resulted in the creation of state natural areas like Beech Creek Bog, Bear Paw and Bullhead Mountain. BRC continues to help Elk Knob State Park, Grandfather Mountain State Park, and Three Top Mountain Game Land expand their borders and led the way in establishing a 2,900-acre State Game Land preserve on Pond Mountain in Ashe County. BRC is also working to construct the Middle Fork Greenway, which will connect the towns of Boone and Blowing Rock via a 6.5-mile paved path for walking, jogging and cycling. BRC's mission is to partner with landowners and local communities to permanently protect natural resources with agricultural, cultural, recreational, ecological and scenic value in northwest North Carolina.

Harvest Hope is South Carolina’s largest food bank, providing over 22.6 million meals annually to neighbors in need across the Midlands, Pee Dee and Upstate. 

Harvest Hope is on a mission to eliminate hunger and food insecurity in South Carolina. We rescue nutritious food from stores throughout the state and distribute it to food pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens. We operate programs that provide food for our most vulnerable citizens – children, seniors, and rural residents who don’t have access to grocery stores. We also run our own emergency food pantries in Greenville and Columbia where anyone in need can get a week’s supply of groceries for free. 

Harvest Hope began in 1981 as the result of a shared vision of business leaders and the faith community, who set out to provide for the hungry in Columbia. Since then, Harvest Hope has increased its mission to feed the hungry across 20 counties in South Carolina.

World Nations International is a nonprofit religious or spiritual organization. It is based in Lexington, SC. It received its nonprofit status in 2017.

We fight hunger and poverty through sustainable agriculture, healthcare access and community development projects in vulnerable communities worldwide.

Our programs have benefited over 3,000 people. We are entering arid, neglected and abandoned places to bring hope and transformation in South America, Africa and Asia.
