LATIMPACTO is the Latin American community that promotes greater mobilization of philanthropic capital for impact in the region. We increase the flow of impact capital, ensuring that resources are deployed in the most strategic way. Latimpacto was born in 2020 -in the middle of the pandemic- after two years of due diligence, following the model of our sister Networks in Europe (EVPA), Asia (AVPN), and Africa (AVPA). Today, Latimpacto gathers over 160 impact investors, philanthropists, and corporates investing in Latin America from around the world. Latimpacto acts as an ecosystem builder to promote a more strategic deployment of the capital towards impact. We approach social investment as a continuum of capital in which corporations, grant-making foundations, and impact investors can achieve a more profound impact within their portfolio of projects. Our three pillars of work are: 1. Knowledge: We foster the creation and dissemination of innovative research, peer learning, and exchange of best practices on impact investment, impact management and measurement, and innovative finance. 2. Connections: We provide different types of connections for our members (direct connections, demo days, and events). This year we launched Porimpacto, our deal share platform, featuring the best collaboration and promoting co-investment opportunities shared by members of the Latin American and Caribbean communities. 3. Impact communities: Thematic groups and communities in which our members can participate. We currently have four impact communities: i) Gender and migration, ii) Climate Action, iii) Early childhood, and iv) Corporate impact initiative.
