I am a mom to three wonderful children and three beloved dogs. I also work full-time as a nurse. My family is fortunate to be healthy, to have a comfortable home, and to enjoy stable employment here in the United States. For these blessings, I am truly grateful.
At the same time, whenever I see our dogs, I can't help but think about the countless stray animals that don't have the same love, safety, and care. I often feel that I could do more to help, even though life is already very busy.
I started by supporting my mother's small feeding program in the Philippines. Every afternoon, she places bowls of food outside her home for stray dogs and cats. I have also donated to independent rescuers and bloggers who dedicate their time and resources to saving abandoned animals.
Recently, I came across the PAWS website and immediately felt connected to its mission. As I explored the organization and learned more about its work, I discovered additional ways to help animals in need. While I can contribute financially, I also want to help raise awareness.
I know there are many people like me - people who care deeply about animals and want to make a difference but may not know where to start. Supporting organizations that rescue, rehabilitate, and protect animals is one meaningful way to help.
