Our Friends Place is a 501(c)3 nonprofit in Dallas, Texas, on a mission to help young women break generational cycles of abuse, neglect, poverty and homelessness through empowering self-reliance and independence. Their unique, strength-based and solution-focused programs utilize trauma-informed care and research to teach skills needed for young women to succeed in adulthood. Our Friends Place’s continuum of care includes Transitional Living Centers to house single young women ages 18 to 24, and the innovative SOAR to Success homeless prevention program for youth and adult allies. Since 1987, Our Friends Place has ignited generational change in the lives of more than 3,000 young women as they learn to excel, grow, and flourish.
