Carry The Cross Ministries

Our current mission is two-fold. First, our mission is to provide homeless families in Kansas City with hope, restoration and an opportunity to have a fresh start. In the Firehouse, we have two apartments for use for families who have been struggling financially. It has been amazing to see how God has provided the people to fill our apartments. Thus far we have almost always had someone in both of the extra units. Over the past years we have housed over 15 families. It is an awesome blessing to have these places to offer assistance to those in need. The second part of our mission is to reach the people on our street and in our neighborhood. Because we are on a cul-de-sac, we are in a perfect place to reach the community. There are five other four-plexes on our street which are filled with residents. The community aspect flourishes as those around here spend much time outside conversing with friends and other residents in the area. In order to reach those on our street, we spend time outside playing with the children, working in our gardens and looking for opportunities to serve. We have a large front yard which gives us space to play. We are regularly seeking ways to develop relationships with our neighbors around us so please pray for this aspect. We have also hosted community activities such as neighborhood BBQ's, bible studies and seasonal activities. Finally, our hope is to open On Eagles Wings Farm, where we will provide housing, give stability, support, counsel, care, and a loving Christian family environment to foster, at-risk children, and their families.
